Matt was formerly CMO at Create Services (Create) which combined Goldfish Bank and Accucard Limited under LloydsTSB Group ownership. He has managed income of £200m and marketing budgets of £25m per annum.
Before joining Create, Matt was Head of the UK Retail Financial Services Practice at McKinsey spin-off Mitchell Madison Group (MMG). Matt was a founding member of the firm in Europe and part of the core team that built MMG Europe from 14 consultants to 400. He was also co-founder of the firm's Internet Strategy practice.
Matt's consulting experience saw him work across Europe and in North America with many high profile brands. In particular, Matt started working with Egg 12 months before launch and worked with their Executive Team through first 3 years of their existence through to IPO. Matt spent his early years in consulting developing simulation based risk management systems for investment and commercial banks across Europe.
Andrew was previously Head of Acquisition at Create, where he managed major marketing programmes across 11 brands and through the full channel mix including Direct Mail and Press as well as online. Andrew also managed an internal online agency delivering £13m in annual media spend and value management services across all of Lloyds TSB's consumer banking products.
Before that, Andrew worked at Capital One where he worked in strategic, value driven marketing of card and non-financial products.
Andy was latterly Head of Customer Management at Create, responsible for targeted income generation strategies and customer marketing across the full account base. Andy also spent significant time in senior advisory roles within the Technology, Operations and Finance arenas - designing and implementing flexible infrastructure, processes and best practices.
Before Create, Andy was at Capital One, involved in the launch of their insourced UK Card Operations and latterly with telecoms in their European Growth Opportunities division.
Formerly Head of Online Marketing at Create, Joseph was responsible for online acquisition across the core credit card business, plus media services and day-to-day management of the LloydsTSB Group's internal online agency.
In addition to invaluable agency side experience at Ogilvy & Mather, he also has a background in media buying (Create) and strategic planning (Focus One Media, New York).
Formerly Founding Partner and Strategy Director of Bloom Consulting, Martín developed and managed major brand strategy initiatives for multinational corporations across diverse geographies and sectors from Internet, Telecoms and Country Branding to FMCG and Luxury products.
Martín has directly advised Prime Ministers and officials of various governments on brand and communications related issues. Prior to launching Bloom Consulting he was Senior Consultant at Futurebrand, working closely with Telefónica, Diageo and Coca-Cola.
Martín’s background is rounded out by Management Consulting. He started his career as a Business Analyst at MMG in New York.
Prior to joining Essence Richard was as a Business Analyst at Create, where he was responsible for creating a framework to measure the long-term profitability of customers acquired through different marketing activity, across the company's credit card portfolio.
Before Create, Richard developed his skills within strategy, business process, information architecture and analytics at Andersen Consulting.
